The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Animal and Natural Resources Institute’s Environmental Management and Byproduct Utilization Laboratory (EMBUL)in Beltsville, Maryland, is seeking a Supervisory Research Leader for a permanent full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience and can range between $102,721 to $153,200 per annum, plus benefits. The mission of EMBUL includes conducting research to reduce the footprint of agricultural production on the environment through advances in science and engineering, discovering innovative technologies that address the environmental concerns in the production of food, fiber, feed, and fuel, and developing environmentally-responsible uses for agricultural and industrial byproduct/waste streams. The Research Leader is responsible for the laboratory’s budget and physical resources, and provides technical and/or administrative supervision to research scientists, professional and technical support and clerical staff. In addition, the Research Leader will conduct a personal research program related to one or more of the above research activities.
